CRPS AWARENESS FUNDRAISER--November 1st-November 15th 2014

To help in creating awareness and money for CRPS, I am selling Scrapbooking & Card Making kits.  Kits are $25 + shipping.  For each kit sold, I will be giving CRPS PIP $5!!!  CRPS PIP is a wonderful group who help people with CRPS get medical services or equipment that they couldn't otherwise afford.

Each Kit will have:

  • one 2 page scrapbook set themed in Autumn
  • 4 Cards (with envelopes)
  • ribbons, sequins and other items to embellish your finished projects
All items will be PRE-cut and PRE-stamped so all you have to do is grab your favorite adhesive and get started!  This would be fun to do by yourself, your children, OR with a LARGE group of friends!

Example of a card we'll be creating:

I will be posting more pictures of the complete kit soon.

Payments should be made through PayPal (cmusgrave72@yahoo.com) and I will be shipping kits throughout November.  I will have items shipped within 4 days of receiving payments.

Getting Ready for CRPS Awareness in November

Hello!!!!!
I'm usually on my blog a lot more.  I apologize.  I fell at work last year.  When I fell it should have gone away quickly but it didn't. Life dealt me a different hand. I was diagnosed with Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome-CRPS for short.  After being told I would always have CRPS and be partially disabled, I was released from Workman's Compensation.  I have been treated by my own doctors.  My new doctor sent me to a Rheumatologist who also diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia.  I have TWO very painful conditions.  Somedays I feel okay with my Spinal Cord Stimulator and pain medicine.  Other days I have to take a lot of breaks.

I've always been very in control of my life.  I also have a servants heart.  I've created a Facebook group called "Christians with CRPS".  I've also donated a few crocheted items for an auction to CRPS PIP.  They are a lovely group who help those with CRPS receive treatment and things they need.  Here's what I donated:
Hope Scarf in Orange for CRPS-$25.00

So, I've been busy getting over the news of having both CRPS and Fibromyalgia.  I've been serving others by helping promote the cause.  If you would be interested in a Hope Scarf in a different color email me at reneem8705@yahoo.com.

Don't forget to wear ORANGE on November 5th for CRPS Awareness Day!

Sincerely,
Renee Musgrave

Now is the Time!

We are just DAYS away from our new Annual Inspiration catalog release.  There are SO MANY great items that are going to be retired.  Once they are gone, or August 1st when our NEW Annual Inspiration book is released, they will be gone for good!

You'll want to share with crafty friends and family because these are WONDERFUL products.

If you don't want to have a gathering of your own but want to take advantage of these great deals, then join MY party.  Just go to www.reneemusgrave.ctmh.com and click Join Renee's Party.  It's that easy.  Everything will be immediately shipped to your door.  There is no waiting for the end of the party!  LOVE that about CTMH!!!!!!!

ALSO, until the end of this month, the CTMH Exclusive Stamp pads are $5.25.

This month, July, we have a GREAT Stamp of the Month that is absolutely essential.  It is our Circus Alphabet.  The SS is only $5.00 with an order of $50.  Normally this stamp sells for $17.95. What a great savings!

The reason I began buying from Close to my Heart is the Exclusive Stamp pads and cardstock.  I love being able to go to my craft supplies and pull out the color I need.  ***I just hated going to my stash, and you ladies know what I mean by STASH, and having to look through all my papers only to find I had no cardstock to match what I was creating!***  CTMH has taken that frustration away.  You can purchase  25 sheets of a single color or a set.  The sets are 2 pieces of cardstock of each color groupings.  The magic is that the wonderful B&T paper packets match the cardstock.  LOVE!  LOVE!  LOVE!

If you have any questions or have a question, feel free to contact me.

Clean and Simple Sketch # 300

Welcome to my World!  Today I've created a simple card for the Clean & Simple Sketch #300!  I love to play along in sketches.

Today, I have used the Timberline stamp set from the Workshop on the Go (Which are FABULOUS btw!)  I have a white base with a lagoon colored mat.  I stamped the planet on the white cardstock using the CTMH Lagoon Stamp pad.  I used 2nd,3rd and even 4th generation stamping to really give it depth and a full effect.  I stamped the tire track for my ribbon.  With my stamp "Explore your World" I was able to use my Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and cut out the exact shape for my stamp.  No fussy cutting!  I cut a slightly larger shape out of CTMH Cocoa and use it as a mat which I popped up using foam tape.

I found a NEW TRICK!  I wanted the Explore your World stamp to be raised but I didn't want to use foam tape.  I cut two white shapes for the stamp and taped them on top of each other.  This gave it a nice depth without having to use more foam tape.  So there's my new trick and technique.  Even 3 or 4 stacks of a shape or Title will give a nice depth to your work.

If you would like to purchase any of these items you can shop at my website:  www.reneemusgrave.ctmh.com.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Don't forget to leave me a little love in the comments and follow me on my blog or Facebook.

Let's Celebrate Birthday Boy!

Inspiration comes from everywhere.  This time it came from dying to use a CTMH retired stamp set I had purchased awhile ago (Yes, I'll admit I'm a bit of a crafting hoarder) and my Cardmaker magazine.  I just loved the chevron paper in the Dottie For Me paper collection.  I used a kraft card base.  I wanted the card to be simple.  It's also very boy oriented.  I sometimes have brain blocks in making boys and men's cards.  Maybe that's because I LOVE girly BLING way to much!  LOL

The inside of the card is stamped "Birthday Boy"

Very little layering. Very little cutting.  What a great card for a little nephew or Grandson?!

Thank you for looking at my creation.  If you enjoy my crafting, please feel free to follow my blog.  You should see what I'm cooking up next!!!

Be Blessed, Stay Creative-and don't forget your Tiara!

Throw Back Saturday!

I know it is usually Throw Back Thursday, but I've never stayed in step with mainstream.  LOL  Today I want to show you what I have created with a few new ideas, non CTMH products and older CTMH products.  I absolutely adore these cards.  If you are like me, you check out Pinterest for ideas and even a few of the cardmaking magazines.  Learning new tricks can be fun!  So without further ado, here they are!

This card was made using an older CTMH stamp set and new CTMH papers.  I used colored pencils to color in the stamp.

This card was created using an older Stamp of the Month set, older CTMH designed paper, and the current Hemp Bakers twine (which will not be available as of 8/1/14 so hurry and get yours!).

This card was created using an idea off of Pinterest.  The card was completely black and white.  I used CTMH Black for the card itself and White Cardstock as the mat and an older CTMH stamp set.  I absolutely LOVE the inside of the card!

Inside of the 3 cards.  All sentiments came from the same matching stamp sets.

These two cards I used with inspiration from a card catalog and Pinterest-with a little of my twist.  The Get Well Soon card, to me, is just adorable!  A lot of these materials are from my stash but there are hints of CTMH in them!

Well, you have seen what I have been up to-feel free to share with me your card ideas!

As always, be Blessed and stay Creative!

The Everything ABC's Blog -Letter L

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter L. This may be the name

chosen as their L element will be featured in their post.

Lattice Garden Gift Bag

Today I have created a Lattice Garden Gift Bag.  The Skylark paper collection has a beautiful lattice design just perfect for today's blog hop with the letter L and I used only 1-yes that's right-ONE sheet of 12 x 12" paper!

AB

The clasp is a button and flap design.  I used my Cricut Explore to create the perfect sized flap and open area.
CD

The best part is that you can make these ahead of time and they store laying FLAT! How great is that?!!!!!

Directions:
  1. Pick any 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock or printed cardstock.
  2. Place your sheet onto your scoring board and score at 1/2", 5", 7", and 11 1/2".
  3. Turn your sheet 90 degrees and score at 2 1/2" and 9 1/2".
  4. Fold edges and crease to create "pocket" of the bag.  Follow diagrams below.
  5. Determine where you would like the ribbon handles to be placed.  Cut your ribbon to make a half-round handle.
  6. Puncture the paper with your Piercing Toolkit.
  7. Insert the brad on the outer side of the paper.  Place the ribbon onto the brad and secure the brad.  Make sure the brad doesn't go through both flap and front/back of the paper.  The secured side should remain in the middle of the fold so that no one gets scratched--and your final bag looks much more polished.
  8. Using tape adhere the top edges down--only where your brads are located.  (Your project should look like picture D at this point.)
  9. Fold the outer sides in and the front/back sides up.
  10. Time for your flap.  I used Sweet Pea cardstock scrap.  I used my Cricut Explore to create the perfect sized flap with button opening for this bag.  Depending on where you place the ribbon, the flap could be narrow, like mine, or wider.  Place your flap on the inside of the back part of the bag.
  11. Bring the flap through the ribbon handles.  With a matching button placed on 3-D Tape, place the button in the perfect location.  Make sure the flap isn't stuck under the adhesive of the 3-D Tape.
  12. DECORATE til your heart is CONTENT!!!  I used the birdhouse, banner and bird from the Skylark Complements.  From the Skylark Assortment I used the 3 resin flowers.
Folding Diagrams:

What you will need to make a Lattice Garden Gift Bag:
