My Favorite {CTMH} Things Blog Hop!

Welcome to the "My Favorite {CTMH} Things" Blog Hop! Today our theme is Christmas projects!

Our Playing With Paper team is sharing artwork featuring some of our favorite products from CTMH. If you have come here from Norhalma Verzosa, then you are on the right path.   If not you may start the hop with Jayma Malme.

Today I have created 4 Christmas items from the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridges.   I've created these little packages to give away prizes at my next workshop!  The Christmas tree package has been decorated with our Glitz Glitter Gel.  The snowflake package has been distressed with blue ink around the icicles and then the Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel.  So pretty up close.  I cut the red bag, decorated with a creme ribbon and used our October Stamp of the Month set-"A Holiday Treat".  How cute?!  AND so SIMPLE to create!

Pick of the Patch

Today I used my new product from Close to my Heart.  I used the September's Stamp of the Month card.  I used the Autumn Terracotta and Chocolate cardstock.   I also used the new Burlap ribbon.   On the chocolate cardstock I stamped smaller stamps as a background.  I stamped the "Pick of the Patch" stamp on the Autumn Terracotta cardstock.  Using the colonial white cardstock, I stamped the scarecrow, pumpkins and the bird in Chocolate ink.

Fall Fun!

Like all school years, my son is having a "Fall Party" but unlike all the other school years I volunteered to help out.  I made the kids their take home bags early because at the end of the month my sister will be getting married...we will be busy, busy, busy!

So here they are.  I found the bags at Target-$2 for 20 bags.  Of course there are 21 children, so 2 packages it is.  I had to work around some food allergies, but I think everyone can have these bags...and they are CUTE!

I bought all the goodies.  Put them in the bags and started with what I think is the fun part, being crafty!  I used one of my Cricut cartridges and cut out 21 sunflower shadows and then 21 flowers.  Using my glue stick, I glued them together.  I then cut 21 brown rectangles 4" x5 1/4".  I folded the brown rectangles in half and stapled them to the goodie bags.  I cut out smaller orange strips and with chocolate ink I stamped "Fall Fun".  Next I glued the sunflowers to the orange rectangles and the orange rectangles to the brown.  Aren't they cute?!

Here's some pics of the creation in process:

glue, stamp, staple-DONE!

Hopefully they will be a success!  Have a great day and thanks for looking!

Harvest Time

Today I'm playing along over at Retro Sketches.  We are to use their sketch as inspiration.  Well, inspiration hit!  I had bought a Recollections Card Making Embellishments on clearance.  Can't get any better than that and I had these cute fall stickers from Sticko.  Then it was just a matter of making components matchy-matchy...the BEST part.  :-)

I started with dark brown card stock, cutting it 5 x 10".  I folded the card in half.  Using the button like embellishment I picked out the colors for the stripes and added orange to match the stickers.  There were so many cute stickers to use-an owl, squirrel playing in leaves, raccoon in a basket of leaves and many sayings.  After I picked out the stickers I was going to use, I cut another lighter brown square 4 3/4 x 4 3/4.  I cut the colored stripes 7/8 x 2 1/4".  I rounded the corner on the yellow stripe (like the sketch) and the creme colored paper.  I attached the stripes, then the round embellishment.  Next I attached the red cording and topped it with a nice bow to the Creme paper.  (Silly me, waited till the creme paper was complete and attached to the card and decided to distress it with red ink.)  I attached the sticker where I wanted it.  Using pop ups I attached the creme paper to the card.  The Harvest Time" sticker was a bit more challenging since it couldn't lay flat on the papers.  I cut very closely around the sticker so the backing was still on it.  I used one layer of pop ups under the word "Harvest" and underneath the word "Time", I used 2 layers of pop ups.  On the inside I attached the lighter brown cardstock for the sentiment to be written.

And this time my favorite pooch helped me the right way, napping all the way!

Thanks for looking, and Happy Fall!

National Card Making Day & Breast Cancer Awareness

Today was an early day.  I awoke with my hubby's alarm clock at 5am.  Mind you, I'm not working and I DON'T have to get up that early on a Saturday.  Well, I think I put my time to a good use.  Playing along with Mojo Monday and Link up for Pink, I created one of my favorite cards!  My constant companion, Dixie had to help me too.  Really, I think she just wanted me to take A LOT of breaks!

I used different colors of pink cardstock from my stash.  The background paper is a special glittery Breast Cancer Ribbons paper I bought from Joann Fabrics (I believe).  The stamp is from Unity Stamp.  The ribbon again, is from my stash.  I used my Cricut to cut out the circles.  I distressed the ribbon paper and white circle with pink ink.  I also took bling and put on the inside of the large circle and pink bling on the inside of the white circle.  That was tedious and they didn't want to stay in place, so I used my Liquid Glass to fill in the white circle.  That worked out really well.  Finally I created a breast cancer ribbon and attached it to the circle.  Check it out, What do you think???

Thank you for looking, please feel free to leave a little love at the bottom!  Happy looking!  Most of all, enjoy the day with the folks you love!
