Throw Back Saturday!

I know it is usually Throw Back Thursday, but I've never stayed in step with mainstream.  LOL  Today I want to show you what I have created with a few new ideas, non CTMH products and older CTMH products.  I absolutely adore these cards.  If you are like me, you check out Pinterest for ideas and even a few of the cardmaking magazines.  Learning new tricks can be fun!  So without further ado, here they are!

This card was made using an older CTMH stamp set and new CTMH papers.  I used colored pencils to color in the stamp.

This card was created using an older Stamp of the Month set, older CTMH designed paper, and the current Hemp Bakers twine (which will not be available as of 8/1/14 so hurry and get yours!).

This card was created using an idea off of Pinterest.  The card was completely black and white.  I used CTMH Black for the card itself and White Cardstock as the mat and an older CTMH stamp set.  I absolutely LOVE the inside of the card!

Inside of the 3 cards.  All sentiments came from the same matching stamp sets.

These two cards I used with inspiration from a card catalog and Pinterest-with a little of my twist.  The Get Well Soon card, to me, is just adorable!  A lot of these materials are from my stash but there are hints of CTMH in them!

Well, you have seen what I have been up to-feel free to share with me your card ideas!

The Everything ABC's Blog -Letter L

chosen as their L element will be featured in their post.

Lattice Garden Gift Bag

Today I have created a Lattice Garden Gift Bag.  The Skylark paper collection has a beautiful lattice design just perfect for today's blog hop with the letter L and I used only 1-yes that's right-ONE sheet of 12 x 12" paper!

AB

The clasp is a button and flap design.  I used my Cricut Explore to create the perfect sized flap and open area.
CD

The best part is that you can make these ahead of time and they store laying FLAT! How great is that?!!!!!

Directions:
  1. Pick any 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock or printed cardstock.
  2. Place your sheet onto your scoring board and score at 1/2", 5", 7", and 11 1/2".
  3. Turn your sheet 90 degrees and score at 2 1/2" and 9 1/2".
  4. Fold edges and crease to create "pocket" of the bag.  Follow diagrams below.
  5. Determine where you would like the ribbon handles to be placed.  Cut your ribbon to make a half-round handle.
  6. Puncture the paper with your Piercing Toolkit.
  7. Insert the brad on the outer side of the paper.  Place the ribbon onto the brad and secure the brad.  Make sure the brad doesn't go through both flap and front/back of the paper.  The secured side should remain in the middle of the fold so that no one gets scratched--and your final bag looks much more polished.
  8. Using tape adhere the top edges down--only where your brads are located.  (Your project should look like picture D at this point.)
  9. Fold the outer sides in and the front/back sides up.
  10. Time for your flap.  I used Sweet Pea cardstock scrap.  I used my Cricut Explore to create the perfect sized flap with button opening for this bag.  Depending on where you place the ribbon, the flap could be narrow, like mine, or wider.  Place your flap on the inside of the back part of the bag.
  11. Bring the flap through the ribbon handles.  With a matching button placed on 3-D Tape, place the button in the perfect location.  Make sure the flap isn't stuck under the adhesive of the 3-D Tape.
  12. DECORATE til your heart is CONTENT!!!  I used the birdhouse, banner and bird from the Skylark Complements.  From the Skylark Assortment I used the 3 resin flowers.

I just love when a PLAN...I mean PAGE comes together!

Today I've created a Scrapbook page layout just for one of our families special memories!  Back when both children were at home and in school.  We were trying to find pumpkins.  This place only had itty bitty pumpkins but they had a lot of other activities for the boys to do.  Hope you enjoy!

BTW-The paper is from last months National Scrapbooking Celebration.  If you like this collection, pm me on Facebook.  I have extra to sell.

Items Used:
Baker's Twine
Durables Triangle Studs in Antiqued Gold
National Scrapbooking Paper collection
"Fall Carnival" cut from Cricut Gallery

CAS(E) this Sketch #78

CAS(E) this Sketch #78

Today I'm entering into the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  I've created the card using CTMH products.  The movement of the diagonals seemed fluid to me.  I love the sentiment "BELIEVE IN YOURSELF".  Sometimes that is exactly what we needed reminded to do.

To create this card I used:
Believe in Yourself stamp set (C1574)
